I am featuring a signed original Lee Reynolds oil painting on canvas.It is a still life of yellow carnations in a vase.This oil painting measures around 20"x15" 21"X16" including border and with wood frame 30" X 26".very beautiful oil painting and wooden frame the flowers seem come alive vibrant colors and amazing depth and clarity.found while cleaning the attic remarkably clean and in great shape for its age. and may be quite older than I am aware of ,it is an older painting possibly late 1950s but most likely mid 1960s to mid 1970s It is in very nice condition very well done piece of art work. I am not an expert on paintings, but I can tell quality when I see it.the painting actually looks alot better in person than in the pictures. comparable paintings sell for a whole lot more.dont let this one get away. you know what to do next. Born in Los Angeles, Lee Burr has a BFA from the University of Southern California. He has served as Chairman, Board of Directors of East Park Gallery in Los Angeles.
He was the director for Vanguard Studios in Beverly Hills, California in the late sixties, and he signed his early works as Lee Reynolds. When he allowed apprentices at the studio to use the name Lee Reynolds, he switched to signing his personal work as Lee Burr. His full name is Lee Reynolds Burr.
This signature (Lee Reynolds) on a piece indicates a staff artist from Vanguard Studios, California's famous art workshop. Vanguard artists are trained at American art schools and have successfully competed with others with equivalent backgrounds to achieve positions as members of the Vanguard staff.
Lee Reynolds Burr, Vanguard Art Director, permits the signature "Lee Reynolds" to be affixed to the best of the works conceived and executed at Vanguard Studios.
Mr. Burr was graduated from the University of Southern California. His eclectic taste resulted in his "Bullfighter" series. In addition, his theme adaptations on a series entitled, "The World's Children" was released in 1971.
