A very collectible book filled with gorgeous b/w and color stone lithographs by the D'Aulaire's, who did much research to present this story of Lief, Erik the Red's son. Lief sailed with his father to Greenland and later to the continent of America. Viking ships, whales, Native Americans, and more. CONDITION: The paper-covered boards and cloth spine are in Very Good condition. There is wear to the edges and corners and moderate soiling as well as mild scuffing. The binding is solid. Internally it is quite crisp with mild age browning on some pages. No marks, scribbles, inscriptions, etc. We use standard bookseller grading standards: As New, Fine, Near Fine, Very Good Plus, Very Good, Good Plus, Good, Fair, Poor, Reading Copy.
