It's the event of the season --- the school play, and the Peanuts gang is the star of the show! Inspired by the artwork of Charles Schulz and based on the animated TV special "Merry Christmas, Charlie Brown",  the Lenox ivory fine china "Christmas Pageant" portrays these best friends all in costume offering their interpretation of the very first Christmas. Charlie Brown as Joseph and Lucy as Mary look lovingly at Woodstock in the manger. Linus is one of the Wisemen, Sally is a shepherd and Snoopy plays his drum.  The centerpiece is a decorated Christmas tree topped with a brilliant 24k gold star. This glorious 7-piece tableau is painstakingly hand painted and all pieces sparkle with touches of 24k gold --- Charlie Brown's lantern, Linus's crown, Sally's staff, Christmas tree ornaments, etc. The tree measures 6 1/4" high, and the figurines are 3 1/2" to 4" tall, except Snoopy who is 2 1/4" high and Woodstock who measures 1 3/4" high by 2" wide. Each piece bears both the Lenox and UFS (United Feature Syndicate / Peanuts) hallmarks and the year introduced (2007).  This very special set is brand new in original box with COA. and retailed for $125 before being RETIRED.
