The continuing story of Father Timothy Kavanagh is a great story even if you have not read the others.  But it takes a little more effort to get into it if this is the only one you have read.

Who is she?  Whom can she trust?  She awakens in an Oregon hospital with a broken leg and no memory of her identity or her past.  Where does she belong?  Excellent story.
