This Iroquois warrior gazes over the land he calls home. He has seen the encroachment of whites onto his lands. The trees are cleared, land tilled and planted, and cabin erected. His game is being killed, and his way of life is threatened. The Iroquois made many bad decisions in their dealings with the white settlers. They were tricked into selling huge land tracks, and backed the British during the Revolutionary War. Their way of life came to an end when George Washington placed them on a Federal Reservation in Salamanca New York.
