Limoges Haviland France Pink Roses Oval Platter

	Description: Limoges Haviland France oval porcelain platter. This platter features a pink rose transfer design, gold garland highlights and a scalloped border. Dimensions: The platter measures 8 1/2 inches wide by 11 inches long. Age: The back stamps read "Haviland France" and "Haviland & Co. Limoges", which date the platter to approximately 1894-1931. Condition: The condition of the piece is very good. There are no cracks, crazing or repairs. There is one small chip to the underside of the rim (about 1/16 of an inch), which cannot be seen from the front. The transfer quality is good, and the gold highlights show little wear. There are some minor scratches that are consistent with age and use. Disclaimer: Back stamp identification and age estimates are included for general informational purposes only. Dates are based upon my available reference material as a novice collector of antique porcelain and are not guaranteed to be accurate. Policy: Items are sold "as is", which means that antique porcelain will show signs of age and wear. Hand-applied transfers will show variations in the application of the decoration, or otherwise display characteristics of having been individually hand-crafted. It is also important to note that while some porcelain items were designed to be cabinet pieces for display, others were designed to be functional and will therefore show evidence of having been used. Other handcrafted items, such as lamp shades or vintage jewelry frames will also show evidence of having been individually made. These variations are not flaws, but unique characteristics that make each item one of a kind. I will make every effort to accurately describe antique items with respect to damage, wear or repair, and will be happy to provide additional photographs on request. Refunds will only be considered if the item has been grossly mis-represented. Please review the photographs carefully and ask questions before you bid. If you are in doubt, please do not bid.
