This auction is for a rare 11 X 14 print of a little girl holding a bouquet of flowers, which I entitled "First Bouquet." It is print #5 in a limited edition of 500, and this is the only place you can get one. This print was made from my original oil painting (which may be seen on my website thomasbakerpaintings.com). The print is signed and is one of the few reproductions of this painting in the world. My paintings have been featured in several Santa Fe galleries and in art publications over the years. Please check my feedback to see how happy others have been with these prints of my work that I've been selling in my eBay store.
The little girl who modeled for this painting is a friend of my daughter's, and the woods seen in the background are part of the forest near our home. The flowers were picked in a nearby meadow, and we had to keep picking fresh ones from time to time when they wilted, since this painting took quite a while to complete. The original painting was sold through a gallery in Santa Fe, but before it left my studio I had it professionally scanned to make this print. The print is made with Epson's best permanent (pigmented) inks on Matte Heavyweight paper, which Epson says can last for centuries in perfect condition. With a little care you should be able to hand this print down to your grandchildren with the colors as vivid as they are right now.
Most of us have bought posters or other reproductions of oil paintings by mail and then been disappointed with the poor, inaccurate, and washed-out colors when they arrived. Not so with this print. I have gone to great lengths to keep the colors pure and true to the original oil paints. The picture on this page should give you a pretty good idea of what the colors are like, if your monitor is good.
This 11 X 14 print will come with a signed certificate of authenticity and a paper containing suggestions for its care and display. It will all be shipped to you rolled up inside a protective cardboard tube.
The shipping fee of $6.00 was arrived at by adding the cost of the cardboard tube ($2.00) to the cost of USPS Priority Mail Service ($4.00) which will get the print to anywhere in the U.S. in two to three days. Since it costs more to ship to other parts of the world, I encourage buyers outside the continental U.S. to contact me prior to bidding to determine the exact cost to their location. Please feel free to contact me with any questions.
I invite you to look over the other prints I'm offering in my eBay store, some of them archaeological reproductions or copies of Old Masters paintings. Original oil paintings may be viewed on my website thomasbakerpaintings.com---some are available for purchase--and portraits may also be commissioned there. Again, please check my feedback to see how happy others have been with these prints, and thanks for looking! ----- Thomas Baker
