The Contemporary Christian rockers the Katinas, five Samoan brothers and a back-up player or two, solidify their nearly two-decade stature in the Christian rock community with the 2009 deluxe CD & DVD set LIVE AT THE ROCK SAN DIEGO. For this concert, they are joined by Pastor Miles McPherson, who addresses and exhorts the enthusiastic, adoring crowd between songs. In between, the brothers perform their outgoing brand of eclectic and melodious MOR rock with utter professionalism and surprising finesse. Even non-believers would have enjoyed attending this exciting show--one wouldn't be too shocked if the Katina regularly gained a convert or two in the course of an evening. Included are two studio bonus tracks, "Ancient Skies" and "Carry The Cross," from the documentary THE CROSS, which chronicles the ministry of Arthur Bessist.
