I purchased this beautiful bag from a handbag boutique well known to Purse Forum members. In addition to a physical location, they also had an online website. About a year ago, they went out of business due to vandals targeting their store after hours (authentic expensive designer bags are big business for thieves) and the general economic situation. They sold their internet domain space to Luna Boston. It’s been a busy, stressful year for me and I’m just now getting around to listing this bag. It’s Lockheart’s “Drew Frame Satchel” which comes from the “Double Up” collection. The exterior is crushed (crinkly) genuine patent leather in chocolate and cream. The hardware is brushed antique gold toned brass. It has a frame top (ergo the style name) with an amber Lucite kiss-lock closure device. The side and bottom edges are piped. There are five leather backed studs on the bottom. There are elasticized top pockets on the sides. On the front, there’s a self-contained flap/toggle closure pouch that can be removed with an open pocket on the body behind the pouch. The handles have rolled center grips and a drop that’s ideal for both toting and secure shoulder carrying. It’s lined with tan stripe embossed jacquard. Inside there’s a zippered pocket atop which are three leather top edged function pockets and a hanging chain with dog clip end for attaching keys. There are another 2 leather top edged pockets on the other interior wall. There’s plenty of room for everything you need to carry including a cosmetics bag, PDA and MP3 player. At the time of my purchase I obtained permission to use one of the professional photos taken by the retailer as it better depicts the beautiful style lines and "in real life" colors than those I took in my fluorescent lit kitchen beneath a broad spectrum floor lamp. There are also two photos of my husband modeling the bag to help you envision size. Ron is 5’ 6” tall and weighs 135.  

This gorgeous bag will coordinate with lots of outfits and is year-round appropriate. It’s new, unused with no flaws, scratches, pulls, scuffs, tears, rips, snags, stains or smells. There’s no reserve and insured UPS ground shipping within the USA is free. An additional incentive to bid/buy is that the listed price will barely cover my costs; there’s no profit built into this transaction. Plus it’s the only one like it I have and since I’m going to “retire” from ebay selling (except for my own personal collection downsizes a few times per year) I won’t be getting another. Bag Specifics:

• All measurements are approximate and in inches.
• Soft, crushed (crinkly) genuine Italian dark chocolate and cream patent leather with a glossy (but subtle) finish.
• Brushed antique gold toned brass hardware.
• Frame top w/amber Lucite kiss-lock device closure.
• Detachable front flap/toggle closure flap self-contained pouch pocket. It measures 7-1/2W X 4H X 2D. There is an open pocket behind it that measures 7-1/2W X 4-1/2D. The detachable pouch is attached via raised studs/holed "belts" just below the top frame where the handles attach. 
• Elastic top side pockets measure 5-1/2W X 5D. They are decorated with leather ties within grommets that continue around the bottom.
• 5 leather backed studs on the bottom.
• Dual handles have rolled center grips and measure 1/2W X 20L; the drop is 9 inches. They are mounted by oval rings to the just above the top frame where the hanging pouch is attached.
• Lined with tan stripe embossed jacquard.
• Back interior wall zippered pocket measures 7W X 5-1/2D; leather encased tan zephyr zipper w/metal zipper head and leather loop zipper pull. The registration number are embossed in the bottom center of the encasement (T027234). Centered above the zipper is a leather backed logo engraved plate. Atop the zippered pocket are three leather top edged function pockets which measure 3W X 4D, 4W X 4D and 3W X 4D. There is also a hanging chain with a dog clip on the end for attaching keys.
• Front interior wall leather top edged pockets measure 3W X 4D and 4W X 4D.
• Overall bag dimensions in inches are 13W X 10H X 6D (depth will expand with contents). I know it’s difficult to envision a bag’s size without seeing it “in real life”. Therefore I recommend that you do what I myself do when considering an online bag purchase. Measure one you already have and compare those measurements to the ones in this listing. You should then be able to tell whether or not the size of this bag will work for you.

• Comes with Lockheart retail tag and mail-in registration card, plastic sealed product sticker that attached to the drawstring of the cream flannel logo dust bag, sales receipt and packing slip and special tag that the retailer attached to their bags to guarantee authenticity and new, unused condition by preventing “bait and take” and “modeling”.  (“Bait and take” is where an individual purchases an authentic bag, takes it home and removed the tags, places those tags on a replica which is then returned to the store for a refund. “Modeling” is where the individual removes the tags, uses the bags on one or more occasions before replacing them on the same bag and returning it to the store for a refund. If the tag has been removed or compromised in any way, this retailer would not accept the bag back as a return). As you can see, the tag on this bag is still intact.

Since I purchased this bag myself from a retailer who while in business was endorsed by the Purse Forum and with whom I had lots of experience, I’m positive it’s authentic. You will be able to send in the included registration card to Lockheart who will acknowledge that it’s one of their bags. However, if upon receipt and inspecting it yourself you have any doubts, please contact me to relay your concerns and request return. I would also encourage you to take the bag to the reputable store of your choice that regularly sells Lockheart bags and ask them to confirm authenticity. If the retailer is of the opinion that the bag is not genuine, I would truly appreciate receiving that opinion along with the reasons therefore and contact information in writing so I can provide that to and have a serious discussion with Lockheart’s customer service manager. If a return is requested, the tag must still be intact, the bag unused and all of the accompanying materials present, I will issue a refund once I inspect the bag to make sure it indeed is the same one that was sent, hasn’t been used and has all the aforementioned components (sorry, but I’ve got to protect myself from those who practice “bait and take” and “modeling”),

Shipping Information:

Shipping via insured UPS ground within the USA is free. To ensure there is a mechanism to cover potential damage or loss during shipment and document that the package was delivered to the intended recipient at the address specified on the PayPal payment notification, all packages shipped within the USA will be insured and require a signature for delivery. For those of you who work full time (like me), requiring a signature can be inconvenient. However, since the package will be shipped to the address specified on the PayPal payment notification, you can change the address in PayPal for that specific payment to your work or other location of your choice, such as a UPS store in your area. I wrap packages very securely and have not yet experienced damage or loss. But, there is always a first time for everything so the insurance protects us both. I'm sorry that I cannot afford to offer USPS as a free shipping alternative. If you choose USPS, please understand that the estimated cost includes not only the postage based upon the weight of the bag inside the shipping box w/packaging materials to keep it safe/undamaged during transit but also insurance coverage based upon the replacement value of the bag and the fee for signature required delivery.

I will do my best to securely wrap your package but if on the rare chance your bag does get damaged, please contact me immediately and keep the box and all packaging as the carrier will need to see it for the insurance claim. If you use a knife or other sharp object to open the box, be careful not to let it slip inside where it could penetrate the dust cover and cut the bag. Shipping insurance will not cover that type of damage.

International buyers, I'm sorry but I cannot afford to absorb your shipping cost, but I will do all you need me to do to "facilitate" customs clearance. Depending on value declaration, up to $100 of shipping insurance is included (the max amount the USA will cover and allow me to purchase).
