Antique Longines Hunter Case Grand Prix Womens Pocket / Pendant Watch 1905 This timepiece is over 100 years old! You are bidding on a Dream Timepiece for every serious Collector.  One of the earlier Longines Pocket Watches, which not too many are still around! This magnificent and scarce Longines Women's Pocket Watch / Pendant in an extraordinary Silver Hunter Case will make a prefect gift or a Great addition to your collection. The High Quality Swiss movement caliber L12.84 is signed - Longines - No. 1774411 (which dates back to 1905).  The movement is original to the case which is also signed with the same serial number 1774411 and is nicely decorated with engravings. The inside of the cover is signed 0.900 - Silver along with other silver Hallmarks. This Pocket Watch was invoiced by Longines on September 12th, 1906 to Messrs Hauser in Paris / France who was one of Longines agents. The beautiful case is 0.900 silver and is decorated with gold and Niello ornaments, (Niello = kind of black enamel technique used on silver). The white porcelain dial is painted with black Arabic numeral markers, and also has a second sub-dial. The engraved medals and "Grand Prix Paris 1900" is engraved on the dust cover. This was a kind of publicity at the time and stand for the prizes Longines received on national and international trade fairs, even world exhibitions that were held in cities like Paris, Anvers, Milano, Bruxelles, etc.  Please see information below about Longines and their Grand Prix award winning watches in Paris in 1900. This pocketwatch runs fine and keeps time perfectly!  The case, crystal and porcelain dial are in amazingly mint condition with no cracks or hairlines. We contacted the Longines Archives & Documentation Division for information about this splendid pocket watch and here is what they found in their "old, hand-written production register": Serial number 1774411 is a pocket watch in silver It has been produced in 1905 It is Equipped with a movement calibre L 12.84 Longines' estimation of this watch is $800.00 (see scan bellow). Return Policy:

EXTENDED RETURN POLICY


• Our EXTENDED RETURN POLICY is in effect. Purchases made from November 10th 2009 until December 24th may be returned up until January 7th 2010.
• All other terms and conditions remain in effect (see below).
• Please remember that if you would like to return or exchange an item purchased during the above period, you must call customer service on 1-866-593-8525 to obtain a RMA# (Return Merchandize Authorization Number).
• Our normal 15 day Return Policy will take effect on all orders placed or received after December 24th.

Watches And Beyond will gladly exchange or refund any unworn and undamaged item with all original packaging materials. All returns must receive a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number by calling 1-866-593-8525, and be returned to WatchesAndBeyond within 15 days of receipt of the original purchase. The RMA number must be clearly written on the outside of the package. Any item returned without an RMA # is subject to a 15% restocking fee.

If, at any time during that period, you are not completely satisfied, return your purchase for a full refund excluding the original shipping expenses, or exchange! NO QUESTIONS ASKED!

The items being returned must be shipped back with insurance at the full value of the item being returned, at the customer’s expense.
