5-(almost) brand spankin’ new with almost no wear noticeable

4-used but still shiny around the edges, very little wear

3-typical wear on used books, creases in spine and maybe a little dog-eared

2-been around the blocks a few times, dog eared and creased and possibly few tears, but still ok

1-all pages accounted for and readable, but that’s it
