Lot of (13) Classics Illustrated 1950-1967 SOLID LOT!!

In this auction, you have the chance to bid on a GREAT lot of thirteen (13) issues of Classics Illustrated, the vintage publication series that "Feature Stories by the World's Greatest Authors!"

In general, the issues in this lot are in decent shape, with still supple covers showing some toning, light spine rolling, edge wear and corner blunting, plus light creasing and faint cracks. Some may have light moisture spotting and foxing. All issues have a "New Price 25 c" sticker over the original price. Also, the interiors are intact, crisp and clean (unless otherwise noted).

• #42 - Swiss Family Robinson - has some staple tears and light surface paper loss on the back from moisture.

• #67 - The Scottish Chiefs - has a 1.5" tear on the outer edge of the back cover, plus some creasing on the bottom right edge of the front.

• #57 - The Song of Hiawatha - a 1/8" spine split at the top, a 1/4" tear on the back top edge, plus a 3/4" split at the bottom of the spine and staple tears, as well as a few 1/16" stains on the cover.

• #89 - Crime and Punishment has a small (1/2") scrape on the cover, a small stain on the price tag, plus moisture spotting on the back cover, a few small areas of surface paper loss and increased spine rolling.

• #142 - Abraham Lincoln has faint staining on the front and some increased edge wear. The back cover has a fold in the upper corner, and there is moisture spotting on both inside covers.

• #144 - The First Men on the Moon - is slightly duller on the cover, plus a 1/4" tear on the back top and outer edges.

• #145 - The Crisis- has some cover fading and staining, plus increased edge wear. The back cover also has some staining and a top corner fold.

• #146 - With Fire and Sword - has an area of fading on teh front, increased spine wear (including a split and some paper loss above the top staple, and below the bottom one), plus increased foxing. There is also a 1/16" spot of spiling on the cover.

• #152 - Wild Animals I Have Known - has a 1.5" outer edge tear, plus a 2x3/4" stain on the front (which carries through to the first few interior pages), and a few edge chips. The back cover shows moisture spotting and a 1.5" tear on the top edge, and a 1/4" tear on the outer edge. There is also light staple tearing.

• #154 - The Conspiracy of Pontaic - has light staple discloration, and a 1/4" tear on the back bottom edge, plus slightly more egde wear and increased toning.

• #157 - Lives of the Hunted - has a back cover fold on the top corner, and acenterfold that is detached from the bottom staple (which has caused some folding).

• #158 - The Conspirators - shows more edge wear, toning and spine stress, plus moisture spotting on the back. 

• #162 - Robur The Conqueror- has some staple discoloration, and light surface paper loss from a moisture spot on the bottom back edge.

All in all, this SOLID lot of Classics Illustrated is a great way to start, add to or possibly even complete your collection of this great set!
