Up for auction is a lot of 16 items from various airlines - some now defunct - 1940s / early 1960s, mostly 1950s. The lot includes 4 unused stickers: SAS, Capital Airlines (now defunct), National Airlines (now defunct), and a TWA Air Mail sticker (TWA is defunct). Also in the lot are four postcards from TWA, one showing one of its planes at the San Francisco Airport - one has been mailed in 1960 by a man who wrote that "TWA is giving me every consideration". In addition, there is a luggage tag from Western Airlines (now defunct) dated 1945; a neat 1940s air mail envelope from Braniff Airways (now defunct) with two stamps from Uruguay; and three booklets from TWA about travel in Ireland, Germany and Switzerland. And, there is a timetable for TWA's flights in and out of San Francisco, 1963; a brochure with a map of TWA's polar route, 1957; and a thick brochure with 24 pages that fold open to show TWA International Routes, 1954. This last brochure has some nifty photos of views inside the cabin and cockpit (see photos 3 and 12 here). In overall very good condition, a few items have minor flaws, no drastic damage to note. Neat lot of things from 4 airlines that no longer operate. Buyer pays $4.95 shipping and handling in the US.
