Up for your consideration are 4 horror/mystery books from my personal collection.  If you like a book that scares you, but at the same time you can't put it down, then these books are for you!  Title, condition and synopsis listed below.

Night Shift by Stephen King (1976) - 326 pages - Fair condition, creasing on the spine and front cover.  Pages yellowing due to age - From the depths of darkness where hideous rats defend their empire, to dizzying heights where a beautiful girl hangs by a hair above a hellish fate, NIGHT SHIFT will plunge you into the subterranean labyrinth of the most spine-tingling, eerie imanginations of our time. Includes 20 short stories.

In the Lake of the Moon by David L. Lindsey (1990) - 372 pages - Excellent condition, minor shelf wear - The assault began innocuously enough.  Four enevelopes delivered through the anonymity of the U.S. mail, four mysterious photos, and then a picture that would draw Houston detective Stuart Haydon into a nightmare world of grisly death and dark obsession.  For the fifth photograph was of Haydon himself.... with a carefully drawn bullet exploding through the back of his head.

Nobody's Safe by Richard Steinberg (1999) - 463 pages - Good Condition, moderate spine creasing & shelf wear - Gregory Picaro is the finest safecracker and break-in artist in the world. There is no safe, no lock, no security system that can keep him out. By combining touch with technology, insight with improvisation, Greg's world is just one big, open door.  But some things are better left locked away. One evening, on a seemingly routine apartment burglary, Greg is caught with his guard down. Concealed in the owner's closet, Greg covertly witnesses an interrogation of his mark by three men in dark, conservative suits. Unable to crack the owner for the combination to his hidden safe, they torture and murder him in cold blood. All my books come from a smoke free home.  However, we do own 2 cats and 2 dogs so please keep this in mind when bidding if you are allergic to animals.  Our pets are part of our family and while I make every effort to keep all auction items away from them, it is possible for the items to pick up a stray hair or two!
