Lovely Vintage Blue Floral Fabric Lavender Boot Pillow

This is a gorgeous decorative boot shaped pillow made from a lovely original 1930's soft cotton printed fabric with a gorgeous blue floral design on a white background. The reverse of the boot is a plain powder blue pure linen. I have finished the boot with two vintage pearlised blue glass buttons. The pillow is firmly filled purely with a generous amount of the best French dried lavender and it measures approx. 19cm tall and 18cm across at the widest points. It looks beautiful propped up on a mantelpiece or shelf, dressing table or windowsill; or simply placed on a chair and it makes a welcoming fragranced sachet on a guest bed atop a pile of feather pillows....

All of the creations that you see are unique, one-off pieces handmade by me and are inspired by my love of all things vintage ~ especially textiles and haberdashery. Hand-dyed threads, vintage linen, faded florals, velvet, silk and wool; tiny glass, diamante, enamel and pearl buttons; beads, ribbons and jewels ~ these are a few of my favourite things.....

Many of the ingredients I use are old and have been loved and used in a previous life, therefore there may be inherent natural flaws and signs of age that are part and parcel of 'vintage' materials. This gently faded, worn and slightly shabby appearance is an important part of their beauty and I believe only add to their charm and are the very reason that they appeal to me ~ and hopefully to you too! I will always be clear to describe any obvious major flaws, but please look at the photos in addition to the written description and I am very happy to answer any specific questions that you may have.

I always combine postage costs when more than one item is purchased, please wait for an invoice to be sent with a calculated cost once I have weighed the package. I normally use Royal Mail 1st Class post for UK mainland domestic packages and Airmail Small Packet service for international shipping.

Insurance options are given when the auction has ended based on the value and destination of the package. I keep certificates of posting for all packages and an insurance value of up to £36 is included in the postage cost. I strongly recommend that packages with a higher value than £36 are covered with additional insurance to avoid any disappointment.

I post as often as I possibly can throughout the week - but I have a young daughter (aka little rascal!) and am sometimes unable to post every day. If you require something urgently please email to advise.
