MY AUTHENTICITY PLEDGE:
Whilst buying ancient art remains very pleasurable and a real "credit crunch proof" investment, it is vitally important that your purchase is authentic. Artifactsuk Ltd. employs a number of experienced consultants who specialize in authenticating ancient art to offer you the necessary protection, and in addition employs, wherever pertinent and economically feasible, scientific tests to confirm this. The most important such test is thermoluminescence or otherwise known as the TL test. TL is very useful and fairly accurate or dating terracotta (clay) statues and other ceramics. This test was developed and pioneered by Oxford University, and we employ these facilities whenever necessary. TL cannot date a non ceramic item or an unfired ceramic. Radiocarbon (C14) is the only other acknowledged scientific test which can date organic material such as wood, leather and paper. However it must be remembered that both these tests are expensive and therefore cost prohibitive for the smaller, less expensive items(cost of TL about $350). All my artefacts carry a money back guarantee regarding authenticity. If an acknowledged expert such as an auction house specialist, or an appropriately applied TL test ever challenges the authenticity of one of the items or coins purchased from me, then I give a written guarantee to compensate such a buyer in full. This written pledge is stated on all my COAs. Every item sold is accompanied by such a COA. Do not buy from anyone who is not prepared to give you a similar pledge. Beware - probably the most commonly faked items are coins, Apulian and Chinese ceramics!
