M. FUEYO, Rare Mexican Enamel and Silver Cross.

This is a really interesting Mexican silver and enamel cross. This beautiful piece was crafted in the Mexican workshops which are famous for their great quality in the manufacture of this kind of jewelry. It is a hand-made piece which carries the tradition of years of silver work. It is known that the silver of Mexico is internationally recognized for its purity and extraordinary artistic qualities. In all the workshops, silversmith was almost entirely done by hand.

This beautiful cross was all hand-made. The central piece is made of enamel of two shades of blue over a sheet of copper; at the back it has translucent enamel and is signed “M. FUEYO”. This cross has as a part of the design, a silver sheet with irregular sides which cover all the perimeter of it. All the piece was handcrafted and a great amount of time was invested in creating it. It’s a really magnificent work.

Look at the photos and you will see how beautiful it is. It’s a unique piece. It will fit a chain which measures less than 3/8 in. approx.

It measures: 3 ¼ X 2 ½ in.

It is fully marked as follows: M. FUEYO.

This piece is in excellent vintage condition, it has only some minor surface scratches and dents common to any worn vintage piece.
