Old Authentic 3" = M (Moss) = Norwegian fishing
glass float/buoy
Item description:
This light green/aquamarine glass float is an old
authentic working buoy that was found on the shores of Rong, in the West
of Norway. It is marked as embossed 'M' on its seal. This float was made
at Moss Glassworks, which was operating in the period 1898-1988. The
size of the float is approx. 3 in (the baseball size) in diameter. It
has some tiny bubbles inside. With its original cotton netting of a very
good condition, it is tied to a hemp rope. Looks outstanding! There
are no damages on it, no cracks but there are some tiny scratches and a
couple of scuffs on it due to its hard use at sea. In general it is of
an excellent condition. Very beautiful old glass float!
This glass buoy will make a nice addition to
your collection and a maritime decoration!

In many cases we can safely pack 2 floats in one box for the same
shipping costs as for one, but of course, it depends on the items' size
and weight. We will always provide the shipping quote for multiple items,
just let us know what exactly you would like to have combined.
