M&W PISTON AND SLEEVE SET FOR LATE JOHN DEERE 4000, 4020 DIESEL

You are bidding on a brand new N.O.S. M&W Piston and Sleeve Set for the late John Deere 4000 and 4020 diesel tractors (after Serial # 201,000).  This set will also work on the 600 crawler with the 404 diesel power unit (after Serial # 215,000).  This set includes 6 pistons and 6 sleeves, wrist pins, wrist pin retainers, piston rings, and o-rings.  What makes the M&W piston and sleeve sets superior to other piston and sleeve sets is the L-shaped headland top compression ring.  Normal piston ring designs rely on ring tension to seal the cylinder.  The M&W L-shaped ring is a low tension piston ring design that reduces ring drag by up to 300%, yet creates more pressure against the cylinder wall during combustion because of the increased surface area of the ring that is exposed to combustion pressures, creating a better seal against the cylinder wall that reduces blow-by up to 90%.  The reduction in blow-by and piston ring drag can yield fuel economy savings of up to 15%, which will pay for the piston and sleeve set over time.  The ring lands on these pistons are steel instead of aluminum, and the rings are moved up to the top of the piston, reducing the dead volume surrounding the piston above the top compression ring.  I also have other brand new M&W piston and sleeve sets available, along with new and reconditioned M&W turbo kits.  Please e-mail me with any questions.  We can also be contacted at Red Oak Diesel Clinic, 712 623 2221.  Thanks for looking.
