M1936 Musette Bag, Transitional

Brand new M1936 Musette bag. These reproductions are made in the USA in our facility and are 100% identical to the original packs carried by paratroopers of the 101st and 82nd airborne, officers and any infantryman who could get their paws on one. Made from 100% cotton #10 canvas, professionally finished in Olive Drab #7, sewn with cotton thread, and fitted with NOS hardware.

In late 1942, the Quartermaster began swtiching from OD#3 ("khaki") to OD#7 ("olive drab") canvas for Army field gear. These bags are the same as above, except that the canvas is US government green canvas.Webbing and binding is still "khaki". All markings are now silk screened and heat cured for improved quality.
This color gear entered service in 1943 and was used concurrently with the khaki gear. It is historically correct for "D-day" impressions, despite the protests of many uneducated nitwits.

These are heads above the Chinese made repros offered elsewhere.

All markings are professionally stencilled and heat cured.
