Firstly, I have NEVER seen another one of these. This came with a M1903A4 Springfield Sniper Rifle that I purchased about 30 years ago. The rifle was sold long ago but I kept this as part of my airborne collection because of it's uniqueness. It is a Carter Bros Inc, 1944 dated M1A1 Inland Paratrooper Carbine Scabbard that has been rigger modified to fit a M1903A4 Springfield Sniper rifle - with scope removed. It is is mint condition. The modifications consist of opening up the bottom portion of the scabbard and adding in an extension of lighter shade OD #7 cotton duck canvas to lengthen it to about 49 inches. Also, a carry handle made of the same material is sewn onto the top. If anyone has ever seen another, I'd sure like to hear from you. Make sure you check my other auctions! Insurance is required.
