MADIERA POLYNEON #40:

Available in 1,100 yard spools, Madeira´s polyester embroidery thread, Polyneon, is constructed of a specially developed raw material which eliminates looping, puckering and virtually all thread breaks. Suitable for almost any application, Polyneon´s unique 100% polyester formula makes this thread extremely durable and smooth running. Vibrant colors are resistant to chlorine bleach, making Polyneon the ideal thread for embroidering on uniforms, safety garments and commercial links. 

* Remaining yardage was estimated by weigh-counting. A new, full 1100 yard spool weighs 31 grams.  The spool core weighs 2 grams.  Subtract the core weight from the total and we get 29 grams for 1100 yards or just under 38 yards per gram.  We weighed each opened spool, subtracted the core weight and multiplied the result by 38 to get the approximate remaining yardage.
