18 Rare Earth ROD Magnets

18 BRAND NEW, amazingly strong, RARE EARTH NEODYMIUM magnets. They are all triple plated with nickel, grade 36, licensed NdFeB, with beveled edges that help prevent chipping and breakage. I have both smaller and larger sizes of ROD magnet available for a wide variety of magnetic applications.  

Magnetic poles are the flat circular ends.

Applications of magnets:                                  

If you have never met a rare earth magnet before you probably cannot imagine the amount of magnetic strength that is packed into such a small chunk of metal.  Folks frequently ask me "How strong are these rare earth magnets?", and I have been reluctant to answer due to the many variables involved in coming up with a clear answer, not to mention how misleading an answer can be.  Have you ever handled a magnet that claims to lift up to 150lbs but will not lift 5lb items that are rounded?  Neodymium magnets can do what ceramic assemblies cannot.  Now I can offer some reliable, standardized pull-test results for various sizes of neodymium magnets.  These test results are basically a "best case scenario" for the amount of hold the magnet has on a thick piece of iron.  The weight is being held straight in line with the pulling down force of gravity.  Be clear that a magnet stuck vertically on the fridge will only be able to hold a fraction of the weight that it can hold in the horizontal position as seen in picture of the testing.

This shipping charge applies to any destination in the USA as 1st Class mail.  If additional magnet items are purchased the shipping charges can be combined for substantial savings.  My combined shipping charge for multiple magnet lots will be only the single highest shipping charge from the group of magnets in the package.  Since $5 is my highest shipping rate for magnets, any of my other magnet offers can be combined with this offer and still only $5 for shipping.

Multiple orders can be combined for a single payment and shipment within any 7-day period.  To combine orders for a single payment, make all purchases on eBay prior to going to PayPal to pay for them.  This will result in only one shipping charge applied to a single order for combined sizes and/or shapes.  Please send an email if orders to be combined are spanned across more than 5 days.

All magnets will be properly packaged for safe transport through the US Postal system.  Seller is not responsible for delays or errors by the Postal Service.

Orders are shipped within 5 business days of receipt of payment, which is stated as a "worse case scenario" allowing some flexibility for the realities of day to day life.  Many orders are processed within 24 to 48 hours of receipt of payment.  Customer service is a high priority.  Paid orders are processed promptly and these devoted efforts have resulted in 8 years of 100% feedback from my eBay customers.

Use caution handling strong magnets. The neodymium magnets are brittle and can chip or break if they are allowed to smack together.  The smacking and some breakage of magnets can be avoided by sliding them apart as well as sliding them back together.  You must not get them too close to audio or video tapes, wind-up watches, credit cards, floppy discs, etc.; (8" is a safe distance). Neodymium magnets can cause permanent damage to TVs and other electronic equipment; (18” is a safe distance).  

Anyone using a pacemaker should consult their physician.
