In the world of investment banking, Anthony Wayne (Martin Sheen) is a remarkable success, but in the world of love and personal relationships, Anthony Wayne is a mess.

Anthony has built a reputation that has earned him an exciting new position with Morgan - Drucker in Paris. He arrives there with a few weeks to acclimatise himself before starting his new job.

Exploring the wonders of Paris, he becomes enthralled with all the Parisienne women - that is, until he sees the fabulous Nicole Carter (Jacqueline Bisset).

Anthony is so taken with Nicole that he follows her all over town desperately attempting to meet her. He learns that she is looking for a maid - and he concocts a plan to meet her.

His plan works so well he gets the job as her maid -despite the fact that he can't cook or clean.

There are some nice role-reversal moments in this romantic comedy which was made in 1991. The two leads play their roles beautifully, and the acting is impeccable all round, with great support from Jean Pierre Cassel and James Faulkner.

This film receives a two star ** rating in the 2005 edition of the Radio Times Guide To Film.

MARTIN SHEEN (Ramon Estevez) is an American leading actor who hit the big time through the 1970s and has just got better and better. His big break came with Apocalypse Now, during which he suffered a heart attack which slowed him down. He is now to be found in the immensely popular West Wing on the small screen, in which he plays the American President.
