MANFREDI 18K GOLD NECKLACE ITALY CEYLON DIAMOND TOPAZ

This necklace is from the early 1990's when the artist, GIULIO MANFREDI, was designing and creating his magnificent jewelry by hand in a restored 13th century convent outside of Milan. This necklace is one of his signature pieces, fluid and striking, combining all of the elements of classic MANFREDI. I purchased this necklace directly from the artist personally during a visit to Italy. The design of the necklace combines contrasting elements, structured links and soft chain, large and small gems, organic in form and created by hand by artisans who pass down their artistry from generation to generation. The necklace is made of heavy 18K gold, a 10 carat topaz, .75 carat Ceylon sapphire and a beautiful bezel set diamond. Signed, security clasp, about 16" in length.
