Dana, James D. MANUAL OF MINERALOGY, INCLUDING OBSERVATIONS ON MINES, ROCKS, REDUCTION OF ORES, AND THE APPLICATIONS OF THE SCIENCE TO THE ARTS. New Haven: Durrie & Peck, 1851. Third Edition. 432 pages, 7 ½” x 4 ¾”, full leather binding. The binding is worn and rubbed with a chipped spine, tender hinges and some of the rear board exposed. The contents show some light toning and damp stain and pages 125-300 have a small hole at the outer margin that goes through each page. Otherwise the contents are bright and complete. Good for reading or reference.
