In the past months I have noticed more and more people selling marbles on E Bay which I think is a good thing. In a general conversation among local collectors and other E Bay sellers it is our opinion that the marble business especially on E Bay may be going to hell in a handbag. It seems the constant dilution of a marbles worth by misidentification is having a devastating effect on the E Bay marble market. A noteworthy example would be using the term Oxblood in describing a marble. There is a high percentage of plain old dark Red or Brown swirl marbles now being described by many E Bay sellers as Oxblood and rare. Most of these marbles sell for just a few dollars and occasionally over $ 20 which is a total rip-off for the buyer. When some of us list a genuine Oxblood marble and it doesn’t sell we know why, it’s the dilution effect. Why buy an “Oxblood” marble for $ 30 when I can get one for $2. In addition selling new marbles as vintage marbles is a continuing dilution of all true vintage marbles. The terms rare and aventurine are commonly used as buzz words we think to spur sales. No I am not the newly appointed E Bay marble police and do make my own mistakes. I leave you with this thought. Buy what appeals to you but don’t always believe what’s in the description. I ship the least expensive way, which is US Mail 1st. class. All marbles are protected with packing material and shipped in a CARDBOARD BOX. Each shipment is packaged carefully but no guarantees for breakage.

" GRADING "
(Mint): This describes a marble with no damage, though under magnification there may be one or two pinpricks, a hint of wear, or an abrasion or rub spot. Marbles in this range may have a small "as-made" such as a pinprick-sized blow-out pit , fold or a touch spot.
(Mint -): Marbles will have no missing glass like obvious blow-outs or flakes, with the exception perhaps of some small microscopic type pinpricks, slight scratches or ticks. There may be minor wear, a sparkle or two, or a tiny subsurface reflection or moon.
(Near Mint +): These marbles are almost in the Mint - range, but may have a tiny flake or moon, or two, as well as a few sparkles, subsurface reflections/moons, minor "as-mades," and/or minor wear. Near Mint (+) marbles will have at least one angle from which they view almost Mint.
(Near Mint): This range describes marbles that have the same sort of description seen on Near Mint (+) marbles, only to a higher degree which should be obvious to the naked eye. One side could still be viewed almost Mint.
(Near Mint -): These marbles will have the same sort of damage seen on marbles in the upper Near Mint ranges but only more so. No side will be viewable as Mint, but the damage will not be deep or cover more than one quarter of the marble's surface, with the exception of overall wear.
" PAYMENT "
I will accept all means of payment including Money Orders , Pay Pal, Credit Cards through Pay Pal and a personal check but it MAY have to clear the bank before material is shipped. Payment should be made or sent within "3" days.

Please note: With intense lighting and using a digital camera marbles may have an enhanced appearance. In addition the pictures are magnified to high proportions, marks on the marbles seen in the pictures may not be visible to the naked eye.
