RETURN POLICY

Customer satisfaction is LIFE IS A Movie's primary concern. We want happy customers!

DEFECTIVE ITEMS: LIFE IS A MOVIE will replace all defective items. Customer must provide to LIFE IS A MOVIE, in writing (e-mail, fax or letter), the nature of any defect. LIFE IS A MOVIE may request the item be returned to assess the defect and assist us to improve our product line. If the defect is discovered to be artificial, no replacement or refund will be offered. LIFE IS A MOVIE will pay the shipping charges both for the return and replacement of defective items, but will not pay shipping charges or give refunds for artificially constructed defects.

NON-DEFECTIVE ITEMS: LIFE IS A MOVIE will consider all requests for returns on non-defective items on a case-by-case basis. All returns for non-defective items must be in the original, shrink-wrapped packaging, unopened with no broken seals.

CHANGED YOUR MIND?: LIFE IS A MOVIE will accept returns and issue refunds or credits for any reason,  providing the item has not been opened and all seals, packaging and shrink-wrap are in tact. The customer is responsible for postage for non-defective returns.

BUYERS REMORSE: LIFE IS A MOVIE will allow returns for "buyer's remorse" providing the item has not been opened and all seals, packaging and shrink-wrap are in tact. The customer is responsible for postage for "buyer's remorse" returns.

VIDEO/DVD PICTURE AND/OR SOUND QUALITY: Please be aware we are providing the best copy of films and TV shows which we have been able to locate. Keep in mind, some of the source materials are over 100 years old ... a scratch here and a wiggle there still represents what is the best available copy we can find. If you are dissatisfied with the quality of the picture or sound, we will do our best to upgrade the content to your satisfaction. If we are unable to do so, and consider the quality to be below standard, we will issue a refund or credit at your election.

Domestic Shipping

Shipping charges are quoted in the calculator based on destination.

Additional VHS or DVD are $1.50 for each individual item sent in the same package.

We usually ship winning items within 7 business days of receipt of payment, although we try for 1 or 2 days.  If there's a problem at the warehouse or we're awaiting a restocking order on a title, your shipment may take slightly longer. Special Order titles (usually from the eBay Store) may take up to 3 weeks to ship. Many are in stock, but we must get others in-house in order to ship. All domestic packages are sent with Delivery Confirmation when possible. Delivery confirmation is NOT available for certain rural addresses and APO/FPO addresses.

All shipments are FOB San Diego, California, USA. You will receive e-mail notification and delivery confirmation when your package ships 

International Shipping

All shipments are FOB San Diego, California, USA. International shipments are via USPS Air Mail or Global Priority Mail.  If you wish your package insured or sent with a service requiring a signature, please contact us for a quote.  Third Party insurance is usually $2.50 for shipments valued under $100.00US.   You will receive an e-mail with shipping details when your package ships.  For combined shipments, special shipping deals or if you have any questions, please e-mail us for additional information and a shipping quote.

Packaging

We offer titles both in generic and custom printed sleeves, however the manufacturer supplies them to us.  All items are new and in shrink wrap.  Some manufacturers choose not to print a custom sleeve in order to release titles that they feel wouldn't sell enough copies to recoup the cost of printing and storing the sleeve.  If no picture of the sleeve is available or the "Matinee Classics" sleeve is shown, this title will probably come in the manufacturer's generic sleeve. A generic sleeve is a printed sleeve, but is not custom to the title, containing no movie-specific information.   Click here for further info on generic sleeves.

Special Order Titles

We offer hundreds of rare, hard-to-find VHS and DVD in our eBay Stores. You can click on the links to the left to see what we offer. We run light stock on some of these titles, so they may take up to 3 weeks to ship to you. We do not manufacture any VHS or DVD, but buy finished goods from a variety of manufacturers. If you wish to know if a title is in stock or wish an estimate on when it will ship, please e-mail us.
