Marshall Wayne Hibbard, (1910-1989), Midway Point, 17 Mile Drive, Monterey, California, Oil on Canvasboard, 16" high x 20" wide, painting size, signed and titled lower left by artist, in a new plein air frame.

Biography:

Painter, commercial artist.

Born in Niantic, IL on Jan. 18, 1910.

By 1931 Hibbard living in San Francisco and active as a freelance artist.

He left in the 1950s to become art director at Ford Motor Company in Detroit.

He died in Chicago, IL on Feb. 20, 1989.

Exh: Bohemian Club, 1945-46. CD; SS.
