Well, I'm selling my Marshall JCM 2000 DSL 100 watt amplifier.  The year on the serial number (see pic) is 2006, however, I purchased the amplifier from Guitar Center Online--new in a box-- in January, '08--which makes the amp practically new.  The amp has been kept in my home--in a smoke free environment, and used only at home volume levels.  I set the tube bias myself, and the amp sounds absolutely great.  The covering is scratch / blemish free.  The channel pedal is included with the amp.  I am selling the amp because, on a whim, I purchased a new Plexi reissue amp--as there was an unbelievable deal on one, and I simply don't need two Marshall amps.  This is a great opportunity to get a virtually new, unplayed, Marshall 100 watt head at a great price. 

For those of you who have looked at the newer Marshalls--i.e., the Marshall JVM heads--the reviews are mixed.  I've played the newer amps...and they're great, but there are just SO many knobs and controls, almost too many!  If you are looking for that classic Marshall sound...with added gain, this amp is perfect for you.  It is versitile, from classic rock, to even modern cutting edge metal.  But, in my humble opinion, the simplicity of dialing in your particular sound is there--without all of the added unneccessary features.  It is an unbelievable amp.  Unfortunately, I tossed the box shortly after I purchased the amp (as I never expected to be selling it).  Therefore, the amp will be professionally packed and shipped at the UPS store, so I've added a $35.00 handling cost.  This will ensure proper packing from UPS.  I would rather have the item properly packed so that it arrives in PERFECT condition.  Good luck bidding.  Feel free to e-mail me with any questions.
