MARVEL - INVINCIBLE IRON MAN - RARE VINYL MODEL - MINT - Early vinyl, classic character, excellent sculpt, simple assembly, great price ... there was a lot to love about Horizon Hobbies' Iron Man model when it was first released back in 1989, and as a matter of fact, there still is.
The Invincible Iron Man began his ongoing adventures back in March, 1963, debuting in the pages of Marvel Comics' Tales of Suspense #39. Created by the talented team of Stan Lee, Larry Lieber, Don Heck, and Jack Kirby, Iron Man has rightfully earned his place of honor in the Marvel Universe, being one of their most enduring super heroes. Now, after nearly a half century, the golden-armored Avenger has soared across the cinema screens this year, starring in his first feature film.
In celebration of the blockbuster movie, we proudly offer this exciting vinyl model of Iron Man, complete, unbuilt, and in his original box with illustrated instructions after nearly 20 years. The figure was sculpted by Japanese artist, Massasu Kosaka (yes, the owner of the GK outfit, Scoop), who crafts a crisply accurate interpretation of the classic Iron Man in a dynamic action pose. He's designed with movable limbs, head, and waist for a variety of poses, and unlike most of Horizon's superhero kits, comes with a display base of layered brick. Iron Man is flawlessly molded in red and yellow PVC vinyl, assembling in minutes to measure approx. 10 1/2" tall x 7" wide.
