MARYLAND & PENNSYLVANIA 4-6-0 BALDWIN STEAM LOCOMOTIVE

This is a beautiful NEW HO-scale 4-6-0 BALDWIN TEN WHEELER, LOW BOILER STEAM LOCOMOTIVE for the MARYLAND & PENNSYLVANIA RAILROAD with tender by Spectrum (part of Bachmann).  This terrific locomotive is very detailed and a super steam loco for your collection.  The model is DCC Ready and has the 8-pin decoder socket factory installed. You can run it on a regular DC system.  If you decide to convert to DCC, you will only need to plug in a DCC decoder on this loco. Has blackened  RP-25 contour wheels, 52 inch drivers, all-metal Walschaert valve gear, finescale metal detail parts, including separately applied bell, whistle, domes and piping, E-Z Mark II couplers on front and rear.  If you are looking for a steam locomotive for your layout, it's a perfect addition!  Just a super steam locomotive at a great price too!  Runs well at all speeds and is very detailed.

The 4-6-0 Ten Wheeler was a standard  addition to most early 20th Century railroads.  It was a go-anywhere, do-anything locomotive that carried freight and passenger cars and was also used for industrial applications.  The 4-6-0s were utilized throughout the steam era, with some locos seeing use in the American South as late as the 1950s.
