This is a genuine antique engraving titled "Mathematical Abstraction." It is in excellent condition and shows a man lost in abstract thought. He is boiling his watch and using his egg to time it while reading a mathematics book. Nice view of the interior of a 19th century home. This engraving was published in an American literary and arts publication in the 1856. The print was engraved by F. E. Jones from a painting by Theodore Lane.

Give this to your math teacher. He or she will fondly remember you at the end of the term.

The dimensions of the print area are, minus margins, approx. 6.75 by 5 inches, and overall size is approx. 10 by 6.50 inches. This is not a reproduction or reprint. It is vintage engraving, over 150 years old, in excellent condition and guaranteed to be as described.
