Offering a copy of the Traveler's Official Guide of the Railway and Steam Navigation Lines in the United States and Canada, May 1895, 896 pages. Filled from cover to cover with railroad and steamboat timetables, maps, a station list, etc from when the railroads were at their height. The Pennsylvania RR/Pennsylvania Lines has 68 pages by themselves!!! All the great trunk lines and "Systems" are featured. Also hundreds of little short lines, narrow gauge, etc etc. Great for research. Covers show some wear at edges and spine. Some of the pages show minor bend marks, but not bad. Only a very few small tears that I could see. No loose pages, binding tight. Considering it is over 110 years old it is in remarkable condition. These guides were meant to be used by RR employees, travel agents, etc and then destroyed when the newer editions came along. That is why they are so rare today. These early Official Guides only come along every now and then, and many that survived are pretty beat up. Here is your chance to pick up an early copy in nice condition for your collection. Postage $8 in USA and includes Postage & Insurance. It will be WELL packed and shipped in a sturdy box. |
