It measures 11 3/4" x 11 3/4" x 2" high and easily holds seven pounds of feed. We use thick cut, kiln dried western cedar wood to build our feeders. This insures your feeder is sturdy and the cedar wood will not decay or rot due to seasonal weather changes. Cedar is also naturally resistant to insect damage. All of our screened feeders are crafted from our original designs we have been offering to customers locally for 25 years. We are proud to have been serving the eBay community since 1998 and look forward to serving you! Crafted to order with premium water proof exterior glue, prime guard exterior screws, rust resistant zinc coated steel hooks, galvanized finishing nails and a durable animal grade exterior fine mesh screen. Each feeder is then sanded by hand and finished with a coat of clear exterior sealant. Your feeder hangs from five 3/8" weather resistant poly coated chains and a 1 1/2" polished nickel plated steel ring. Your birdfeeder is individually crafted by hand right here in the United States of America and is built far superior to mass produced department store feeder's assembled here and overseas with thin, cheap materials and small nails or brads. Most of these type feeders "look nice" but usually last less than one or two seasons, start breaking down through drastic weather changes and have to be replaced. Replacing feeders seasonally or every other year can add up in costs! Our feeders have survived many snow and ice storms, multiple hurricanes and extreme high temperatures. Our customers love them and you will too! Extra attention is always taken with our craftsmanship. Our featured screened feeding base allows air to circulate through your feed keeping your bird seed or grain mixtures dry and clean for healthier bird feeding. The air circulation also helps to keep mold from forming on your feed and helps prevent moisture from causing seeds to sprout!. The fine meshed extra strength animal screen material will not tear, rip or need replacing under normal to very heavy seasonal use. The screen is secured tightly with 9/16" stainless steel staples and exterior wood glue and then covered with 1/2" cedar trim across the bottom of the feeder sealing the screen in tight. The cedar trim securing the screen is then reinforced with 1 1/2" galvanized finishing nails. A very unique gift for special occasions or as an addition to your own home!
