The Cold War Air Museum is a non-profit flying museum located in Lancaster, TX. Proceeds from the sale of this patch will go into the museum's general fund which supports the restoration of Cold War Era helicopters and fixed-wing aircraft. This is a high-quality 3.5 x 4" patch with standard (non-velcro) backing. All parts of the patch are stitched excepting the solid black portion of the background. This patch is worn by museum's pilots who fly the MI-24D Hind helicopters. The museum has one flying MI-24D and a second which is being restored to flying condition. Russian text on the patch says "AVIO BAZA LANCASTER" - "AIR BASE LANCASTER". Please note that your purchase of the patch does not count as a tax-deductable contribution under IRS rules. |
