Description
MICHEL BAYNE - "Dave" face jug - southern folk pottery
 
This is No. "7" of a series of 20 ( I believe ) that Michel made with this "Dave The Slave" motif. It is simply fabulous, as all of Michel's works are. It features a quote by "David Drake" and the quote is dated 16 August 1857. Of course, the master potter who created this limited masterpiece is Michel Bayne of Greenville, SC. The face jug is almost 11 1/2 inches tall, and the facial characteristics are just stunning. There are many national collectors of fine folk pottery, and I encourage to give this chance of a lifetime piece...your full attention.
