SURFING MICKEY ILUSTRATION

This auction is for a full-color marker illustration of Mickey Mouse Surfing, by long-time Comic Book and Disney artist Mike Royer.

Mike Royer has been a master artist for comics and animation for over 40 years. He is commonly known as the "father" of today's Winnie the Pooh, Tigger, Piglet, Roo, Owl, Rabbit, and the other supporting Pooh characters that Disney commissioned him to create when they bought the property. He launched the massive Pooh licensing program for Disney and continues to do work on products today, including the whole range of Disney characters.

The image area of the drawing is approximately 9” x 10.5”, on 11" x 14" Illustration board. This is the original, one-of-a-kind, hand-drawn art, and it is signed by the artist.
