THIS IS A SEVEN-DAY, NO RESERVE, AND INTERNATIONAL COLLECTIBLE BRIAR PIPE AUCTION.PLEASE CLICK HERE TO VIEW ALL OF THE OTHER BEAUTIFUL, NEW, OR FULLY RESTORED AND RECONDITIONED HIGH GRADE COLLECTIBLE PIPES THAT I HAVE LISTED FOR AUCTION THIS WEEK ON EBAY!
You are bidding on an UNSMOKED early production Caminetto "Business" shape number 142 "Freehand Dublin" shaped hand rusticated pipe. This pipe was carved around 1975-77, while Gianni Davoli was the owner of the Caminetto pipe factory, and the talented team of Pepino Ascorti and Luigi Radice carved this pipe. Both of these gentlemen were former pipe carvers for the world-renowned pipe firm of Castello. This pipe is finished in a tan hand rustication with a dark brown to black stained "smoked" bowl rim. Many experienced and knowledgeable pipe enthusiasts believe that these early Caminettos were better performing pipes than the Castellos! I tend to agree with them. This is one of the sweetest and driest tasting pipes ever made! The Calabrian briar wood from which this pipe was carved is extremely old, hard, and dense. This pipe has a terrific "hand feel" and balance. The size and tobacco capacity of this pipe is similar to a Dunhill Group 6 size pipe. Its overall length is about 6.65". The bowl height is about 2.10". The tobacco chamber is about 0.875" in diameter and tapers down the bowl's 1.65" inner depth. It weighs 53 grams. The original number correct Caminetto pipe box that is pictured below is included.
Once again, this is a seven-day no reserve pipe auction. I do not believe in "Reserve" or "Buy it Now" prices. I want the lucky high bidder to own and enjoy this pipe and not have him frustrate himself with bidding on a pipe that is not attainable on a price basis! Just be the high bidder at the close of this auction, and you will win what could again prove to be the best pipe in your collection! Please read and review my eBay ratings and comments. Check out the "ME" section after my eBay name "coopersark". I think that you will find this information very informative and telling! Please feel free to send me an e-mail with any questions that you may have about this pipe. I want you to bid with the highest of confidence! I use only the best of packaging materials. The pipes that I ship have too much time and labor lavished on their restoration and presentations as well as the many of these pipes are irreplaceable works of art. I am not going to risk damage by using lesser packing. (In my nine years of selling pipes on eBay and shipping thousands of pipes around the world, not a single pipe has been damaged!) I also try my utmost to ship your pipe the same day that I receive your payment, even if this means making a special trip to the Post Office just for you alone. The Registered parcels that ship overseas take extensive time with both the packaging and four forms of documentation that must be filled out. Unfortunately, this all has to be reflected in my shipping costs, so please bid accordingly. The winning bidder will include an additional $10.00 for Priority Mail shipping, tracking, and insurance. (Foreign bidders will include an additional $12.00 for International Air Mail shipping.) Thank you for your interest. Please do not forget to check out my other auctions! Good Luck and Happy Bidding!!!
