Up for your consideration is this wonderful book on the history of World War II by Francis Trevelyan Miller.  It includes tons of war photographs, official records, maps and more importantly, the board of historical and military analysts:

The book is actually a super dark blue with gold embellishments, but my flash makes it look lighter.  There are a total of 968 pages.

It contains copies of documents signed my Roosevelt, MacArthur, Eisenhower, Arnold, E.J. King, Vandergrift, Nimitz, Stimson, Forrestal, Halifax, and a copy of the "Surrender Document" signed on the USS Missouri in Tokyo Bay!  Unbelievable piece of history to own!!!
