A fascinating antique sea chart from the Hawkesworth account of Captain James Cook's famous Voyages.

Mindanao Island in present day Phillipines is shown with "the bay where we anchored". The Joseph Freewills islands, Pegan (now Pegun) Onata and Onello are in the Indonesian Kepulauan Mapia islands north of Papua New Guinea.

A little offsetting of text otherwise fine condition.

Measuring approx. 7" x 7" (190mm x 190mm) printed area only with margins beyond.
