"I have examined myself thoroughly,
and come to the conclusion :
I don't need to change much."
Sigmund Freud
Presented here for your delectation and delight is a copy of....
MINDSCAPES. Psychological Mazes for Personality Insight by Pino Gilioli
It was published by Collier Books USA in 1986 and is a softcover with 183 pages. This is a first edition English language copy (as the original was published in Italian). It is long since out-of-print and a very rare title to come across, as well as being a thoroughly fascinating and original book.
The book is in excellent condition, just slight wear to the cover. The pages binding and spine are all flawless.
From the back of the book...............
"How well do you know yourself?
Are you impulsive or hesitant, an idealist or a realist? Do you let your emotions get the better of you, or does reason prevail? Is your personality compatible with your job? Do you really know your partner? MINDSCAPES reveals the answers to these questions and many more.
Challenging and entertaining, MINDSCAPES is filled with intriguing pictorial tests, stimulating mind games, and provocative psycho-stories - all designed specifically to help you sharpen your self-perception and gain surprising insights into your life.
Proceeding step by step through the individual exercises and their revealing interpretations, you complete conversations, analyze visual images and scenarios, until you arrive at your complete personality profile. Pino Gilioli describes 32 different personality types in detail - from the uneasy achiever to the thoughtful idealist, from the obliging reasoner to the impatiant egocentric. He also offers sound advice on how each type of personality can most effectively compensate for particular weaknesses by tapping into other, special strengths. If you want to unlock your personality potential and enhance your life, MINDSCAPES holds the key to increased self-awareness - and pure enjoyment."
Psychology is an area of interest for me, and I have read many, many books - but I have not enjoyed one like I enjoyed this for a long while. Normally with this kind of Psychological test, you know how the answers you give will be interpreted - so you give the answers that will make you look good (even to yourself, or especially to yourself)! However, some of these test are so far out of left-field - so bizarre - that giving an honest answer is your only choice. I enjoyed this book and I hope you do to.
"A positive attitude may not solve
all your problems, but it will annoy enough people
to make it worth the effort."
