You are bidding on a good copy of the authentic supplement PATTERN from the French magazine LA MODE ILLUSTREE dated January 20, 1884 and copy of the matching magazine.

All original sewing instructions, markings and symbols are reproduced on this copy. Even better than the original because on clean and strong paper.

The "Mode illustree" patterns looks like a large sheet size 22,5"X33,5 approx. 

Pattern pieces are printed one on top of each other

Large parts of the clothes (exemple : skirt with train, if you are buying dress) are only shown on diagrams with  measurements. Sewing instructions are in French of course but tracings are easy to follow on sheet.
