What is ‘Monoi’?

'Monoï' (mah-noy) is an ancient Tahitian word meaning 'scented oil'. The secret of Monoi de Tahiti lies in the delicate 100% natural vegetal blend that is extracted from the rich Tahitian Tumu Ha'ari (Cocos Nucifera) coconut tree and from the local "Tiaré" (Gardenia Tahitensis) flowers. It is the result of enfleurage, the art of extracting active or aromatic ingredients by gently macerating flowers in refined coconut oil. Monoi has been used for centuries by “Vahines”, beautiful Tahitian women, to hydrate and protect their skin and to condition their hair.

Camellia Oil is full of proteins, antioxidants like oleic acid, vitamins such as A, B, E; and minerals such as Phosphorus (P), Calcium (Ca), Iron (Fe), Manganese (Mn), and Magnesium (Mg). It is considered beneficial for dry skin conditions and is used in many anti-aging products due to its ability to be rapidly absorbed. Camellia Oil gives the skin a texture and glow unmatched by any other skin care product.

Vitamin A (Beta carotene & Retinyl Palmitate)- helps to diminish the appearance of fine line and wrinkles.
