MOON POPPIES - Water - 24 x 24 - Indigo Art EBSQ Plus

I think this is one of my best paintings ever. I guess that's why I've kept it around so long. What I like most about it is its surreal nature and dreamy feeling, and the deep blues and purples contrasting with the orange. I think poppies are so interesting with their papery petals and those intriguing pods (pods pods pods - what a great word).

I painted theses poppies on a high quality wrapped canvas, so you have the option of hanging it as is (sides are painted, canvas is stapled on the back) or having it framed.

I've been practicing to be a chameleon and I can move my eyes independently - it's freaky.

I want to explain my ebay selling ploys: I initially list original paintings in ebay auctions for FAR less than what I price them at for art shows. Why, you ask? Well, I do most of my ebay selling during the winter when there are no shows in my area due to the disgusting weather, and, hence, less income streaming my way. If a painting doesn't sell in an auction, I then list it in my ebay store at the price I'd charge at a show, which is much higher (I do have a LITTLE pride...) and let it sit there 'til it sells.

The moral of the story is: if you see a painting being auctioned that you like, I'd recommend that you bid on it during the auction. This is much more fun for all of us; I love seeing bids, and you get your painting at a much lower price than if you wait until it's listed in my ebay store.

My sister tells me that my images look washed out and the greens look yellowish on her monitor, so when you're looking at my images, please keep this in mind: I have a meddling sister.
