Please see the rulers to estimate the sizes. These lots were made to fit (and maximize the advantage of) a flat rate priority envelope - the most economical way to mail them. They are already sorted, packaged and sealed, ready to be shipped, making exchanges and substitutions rather undesirable. Thank you for understanding.
Pine wood. Nice edge, sanded, ready to become an OOAK base. For a simple finish, a furniture wood stain or lacquer or sealer will do them nicely - you will find many varieties in your local hardware store. But that is not the only way! You can really turn those simple plaques around - I love them because they are like blank canvas and use them all the time. Here are some examples:
covered in clay and painted to make it look like antique pig leather book cover:
 
Covered with Magic Sculpt epoxy and texturized to make it look like mossy ground with some natural stone slate pieces exposed. The bottom is finished
with felt:
 
Covered with crumpled brown bag paper, painted gold and washpainted with brown paint to make it look like old gilded leather:
And here is a simple one - just a few pebbles, Magic Sculpt and some paint:
  Covered with rose potpourri (potpourri pieces need to be really well sealed with lacquer to keep it all together)   I hope you get the idea - there are many way to use them. The point is - they are inexpensive, useful and versatile, give them a try!
