This auction is for a beautiful hand carved wooden statue depicting a mother with her child. It is carved from a solid block of tropical suar wood, and was hand made on the island of Bali. Each statue stands about 12 inches tall, 5.5 inches wide, and 2 inches deep. Already imported, ships from U.S. Please scroll down for additional pictures.
The statue shows a mother holding her baby. It is a very sweet and lovely scene, expertly rendered in beautiful flowing lines from a solid piece of tropical suar wood. Suar wood is renowned for its beautiful color, luster, and grain pattern, and also for its high resistance to cracking. Please click on a few of the pictures to see the full sized images. The wood has been stained and then sanded, oiled, and hand rubbed to a fine, smooth finish.
NOTE: I have several of these to sell, and I am using the same pictures for each auction to save time. Since each is hand carved from natural wood, there are slight differences in appearance, but all are the same size, design, and quality as what you see here. I purchased all of these from the same artist, so they are all of equal quality. I accept Paypal, money orders, and checks. (Paypal preferred, money order is second choice.) Instant payments by Paypal or money order are processed immediately upon receipt. Paypal e-checks are processed after the payment clears, usually about 3 to 5 days. Personal checks (U.S. only) are also accepted, but take about 10 days to clear before item will be shipped.
