This book sets out the essential service information for practically every motorcycle which has been available in the UK since 1980. It provides rapid access to the most frequently used data for dealers, mechanics and enthusiasts who have to deal with a wide variety of machines and wish to compare the features of different models.

There is also a section at the front which lists conversion tables standard torque settings for threaded fasteners, tyre size codes, tyre speed and load schedules and addresses of importers. Machines are listed alphabetically by manufacturer (see the contents page where one manufacturer is responsible for two or more makes) and then in order of capacity or model number. Where samesized models have letter prefixes, they are listed alphabetically, thus a CB400 comes after a CB350 but before an NS400.
