 Hand knotted in Northern India, this contemporary Jaipur shows how design themes introduced to the subcontinent by 16th century Mughal lords from Persia have survived for centuries and remain intact today. Though rugs are not native to predominantly Hindu India, the nation has become a world leader in producing superb, handmade rugs.

This stunning design is reproduced by license from Arthur T. Gregorian Oriental Rugs located "A little part of Persia in Newton Lower Falls, Massachusetts".

The MouseRug combines traditional handmade rug patterns with the Lextra yarn-dyed nylon fiber coating process to create a beautiful, durable mousepad and coaster. By scanning actual hand-woven rugs even tiny imperfections are faithfully reproduced to make the MouseRug look exactly like the original.. The Lextra process does not use ink. Small, 1mm yarn-dyed fibers are dispensed through a metal screen with an electrical charge which orients the fibers vertically and propels them into the design adhesive. The color will not wear off.
