This auction is for a used Akai MPC 2500 WITH ALL THE EXTRAS! This unit has been in a smoke-free studio since I have owned it. This item is maxed out with all options including CDM-25 CDRW/DVD Rom drive, 128MB of Ram expansion, 80 gig Hard Drive, Akai CF card with Akai 1.23 operating system, JJ OS v 5.53 and power cable.

OPERATING SYSTEM
This item includes the JJ Operating System version 5.53. The JJ OS significantly adds dozens of additional functions and enhancements. If you need the manufacturers original operating system simply boot up by using the Compact Flash card to load the original Akai OS version 1.23.

EXTRAS
PRE LOADED SOUNDS: This unit comes with all the sounds I have loaded onto the 80 GB Hard Drive. Approx.300 MB worth. These are primaraly drum kits and loops. some instruments. To many sounds to list here.

ADDITIONAL STORRAGE: 2GB Compact Flash Card.

KNOWN PROBLEMS :
Cosmetically there are some scrapes and scratches on the unit (see photos in this listing). Unit functions perfectly and there are no problems with its operation.

ABOUT THE MPC 2500
The MPC2500 Music Production Center set the industry standard for beat production and includes a 32-voice drum/phrase sampler with up to 128 MB of RAM (installed) and extensive editing control. Designed for professional music production environments and DJs and live club performers, the MPC2500 features a time-tested user interface, responsive velocity-and pressure-sensitive pads, twin onboard effects processors, four Q-Link controllers (two sliders/two knobs) for extensive real-time control, plus 10 outputs and a S/PDIF digital output.

The MPC2500 sports a 100,000 note (300,000 notes using JJ OS)/64 track MIDI sequencer that can be assigned to four separate MIDI outputs for a total of 64 independently addressable MIDI channels. Internal sounds reside in flash memory and can easily be swapped for new sounds via compact flash cards, optional user installable hard drive (installed), or the optional CD-ROM drive (installed). Akai original CF card with preloaded sounds is included to get you started.
